I apologize for the rapid succession of updates this week, but I spent some time reworking the updater and version 1.9.8 introduced a regression that may prevent the installation of other plugins. I apologize for the inconvenience, but this issue has been resolved in 1.9.10 and with this last fix I believe the updater implementation to be solid.
