SearchWP 2.1 is now available to all active license holders and is a recommended update for everyone. The two big changes in this release is a significant improvement to query performance when searching for more than one term using AND logic. Further: PDF content extraction is now much more powerful on the PHP level (if you’re not able to use Xpdf Integration). Full changelog:

  • [Improvement] Significant query performance improvement in AND logic pass
  • [Improvement] Much improved PDF content extraction when using only PHP as opposed to Xpdf Integration (requires PHP5.3+ else SearchWP will fall back to previous method)
  • [New] New Filter: searchwp_settings_cap allows you to customize the capability required to manage SearchWP’s settings in the WordPress admin
