How to search eCommerce product details in WordPress

It can be frustrating for customers when they try to search for a product on your online store but can’t find what they’re looking for.

Sadly, the default WordPress search feature is quite limited, frequently missing crucial product details that customers are searching for.

But with the right plugin, like SearchWP, you can enhance the search experience for your visitors and boost conversions and engagement on your online store.

In this article, we’ll show you how to search eCommerce product details in WordPress.

Why Include eCommerce Product Details in WordPress Search?

When you start an online store, you’d want to boost sales and help users to easily find your products.

By including product details like reviews, tags, comments, and attributes in the search process, you’ll improve the overall user experience. Users can quickly find the exact product they want, which reduces frustration and increases satisfaction.

A good search function also facilitates a seamless buying process. This improves conversion rates and increases revenue.

Besides that, a poor search experience is a common reason why users abandon a website. When searches fail, visitors are likely to leave. Adding product detail to search keeps visitors on your site for longer, reducing bounce rates.

Having a powerful search feature on your eCommerce store can also help with product discoverability, even if a customer doesn’t have an exact product in mind. Users might not be aware of all the products that you offer, and a detailed search experience helps them uncover these products.

That said, let’s look at how you can easily search eCommerce product details in WordPress.
